The Founder
Gehan Abdelkader
The company was founded by Gehan Abdelkader (known as Guiga), a Mechanical Engineer, who worked in a leading multinational Oil & Gas Services Company for 20 years. Guiga, who owns 80% of the company shares, is the Creative Director, Chief Designer, Production Manager, and Quality Controller. She sub-contracts local workshops in old Cairo to create her own unique designs. The brand is also in contract with a well-known marketing consultancy company and a reputable legal accounting firm in order to scale up the business and create a seamless international brand in the near future.
Our Story
Guiga is a passionate person who is an artist at heart. With an excellent eye for beauty in fashion and art, she has always traveled the world to visit exquisite art museums and galleries and explore the different fashion styles that vary from one country to the other. Her confidence that having her own line of jewelry would be a success came from the fact that she attended numerous workshops over the years including oil painting, fashion design and tailoring, leather goods design and making, carpentering, and clay sculpting. Fueled by her undying passion for art and handicrafts, she decided it was time to pursue what she loves and dedicate all her time to. After completing a two-year jewelry design and diploma from the well-known jewelry Design Studio, came the birth of Guiga Fine Jewelry , and in two years’ time was able to acquire a growing customer database.
